Dr. Herman Thang, D.D.S
Dr. Herman Thang completed his D.D.S. at the University of Toronto in 2005, followed by an Advanced General Dentistry residency at the University of Maryland. He returned to the University of Toronto in 2007 and completed a Master’s degree in Periodontics. Dr. Thang is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has served as the President of the Dental Students’ Society, and is currently an active member of the Ontario Society of Periodontists, the American Academy of Periodontics, and the Burlington Dental Academy. Dr. Thang has published and lectured on topics related to periodontics, bone remodelling and healing. He has taught periodontics at the clinical and pre-clinical levels at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Thang lives in Burlington with his wife Mindy. In their spare time, they enjoy exploring Burlington and its various restaurants.

Dr. Nancy Baldan, D.D.S
Dr. Nancy Baldan obtained her D.D.S. at the University of Toronto in 1991. She continued her studies as a dental resident at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and then completed the periodontal diploma program at the University of Toronto in 1994. Dr. Baldan has been in private practice in Hamilton since 1994. She has also been a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto in the Periodontics Department, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate program from 1994-2011. She has been on the executive board of the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry and the Ontario Society of Periodontists. She became the President of the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry in 2005 and the President of the Ontario Society of Periodontists in 2008. Dr. Baldan lives with her family in Burlington and is looking forward to assisting and working with all the various practitioners in Burlington.

Dr. Samuel Toong, DDS, MSc
After receiving his Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto, he entered dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He continued advanced training in York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania where he obtained his training in pediatric oral sedation as well as IV moderate sedation. He returned to Canada and practiced near Walkerton, ON. His practice was focused mainly in children and the anxious dental patient. Later he returned to pursue specialty training in Dental Anaesthesia at the University of Toronto. This 3 year program involves training in some of Toronto’s most prestigious centres including the Hospital for Sick Children, Sunnybrook Health Centre, Toronto Western Hospital and Toronto East General Hospital.
Sam is married to his loving wife Anna and has a son Matthew. They enjoy living out in the country and taking advantage of the beautiful outdoors.
